Helly Hansen Big Mountain Battle - February 26
Helly Hansen's Big Mountain Battle is going into its 3rd exciting season and we want to invite you to join in the fun and excitement of a little adventure on the mountain you thought you already knew. We want to take you to corners of the mountain you may not have been to for years, send you hiking up a climb you would have never thought to do, go searching in the woods for a checkpoint, get tracked in real time by our friends at Flaik GPS and you get to do it all with your buddy.
This is a team-based event, which is open to all ages/levels and allows exploration of the entire mountain! Each team of 2 must cover off all the checkpoints lifts, runs and hikes around the mountain in a 3 hour time period. Every team will be given a course map and team card (you can download them from each venue page) and again, you will all be tracked by Flaik GPS. The top three teams with the best times to complete all checkpoints, runs and hill climbs in the Novice and Advanced courses will be awarded prizing, but the top team in the Advanced course will win the biggest prize of all; the grand prize, $2000 worth of Helly Hansen gear! The winning team of the Advanced Course from each event will win $2000 retail value of Helly Hansen redeemable on the Helly Hansen website, prizing from our great partners and entry to the final Battle in the Bowls. Please go to http://www.bigmountainbattle.com  for registration.

Betty Fest - February 26 & 27
Betty Fest brings together women for two days of skiing and riding in a fun, non-intimidating environment. This program includes extensive on-hill training on Keystone’s Ski and Ride School’s trails, video analysis and discussions about nutrition, women’s specific concerns and equipment.  All women’s programs are taught by PSIA – certified, women instructors, including Annie Black – Colorado’s Ski Instructor of the year – and each group is small and supportive.

Keystone KAT Skiing
Let our experienced Keystone Adventure Tour guides make your first run down Independence Bowl, Keystone's newest expert-only terrain, a memorable one. During the season, we'll offer two guided tours daily through this exhilarating bowl. Each tour comes complete with lunch at the Independence Bowl Hut catered by Peak Provisions – which you're certain to need after making laps in this powder. Please note that, while highly trained, our KAT guides are not ski instructors; these tours are for expert skiers and riders who are accustomed to and adept in powder and trees. If you'd like to learn the art of powder skiing – or hone your skills before striking out in this territory – we recommend a lesson with our Ski & Ride School, which has instructors for every level (not just beginners). If you're in doubt of your abilities, feel free to take a Mountain-Top Snowcat Tour first to scope out the terrain, and talk with our staff about your skill level and comfort in deep powder.Included in your guided tour is a lunch experience at the Independence Hut. Call 970-496-4FUN (4386) to book your tour.
