KEYSTONE, Colo. — January 18, 2012 —Keystone Resort is proud to announce a new culinary event, “Savour the Slopes”, featuring a rotating showcase of Keystone’s signature restaurants from Jan18 to Feb 10, 2013. Each week, the event will focus on a different culinary experience, with Food headlining Jan. 18-26, Wine Jan. 29-Feb. 3 and Beer and Spirits Feb 4-10. Guests will enjoy nightly tastings in unique culinary settings including The Alpenglow Stube, located at 11,444’, The Ski Tip Lodge, a former 1800s stagecoach stop and The Ranch, a historical homestead that offers stunning views and a game-centric menu.
Superb culinary offerings have long been a signature feature at Keystone; the Resort boasts three AAA four-diamond rated restaurants, the Best Restaurant in Summit County, as voted by the Summit Daily News and a slew of award-winning menus and wine lists with recognition by notable industry sources including Wine Spectator.
This emphasis on making Keystone not only a great family ski destination, but also a foodie haven, has now taken the Resort’s notable culinary to the next level with the new month-long “Savour the Slopes” showcase. Similar to a municipality’s “Restaurant Week”, beginning at 4:30pm everyday from Friday, Jan 18 through Sunday, Feb 10, Keystone’s signature restaurants will host unique tastings, priced at only $20 each, influenced by their normal award-winning menus. The rotating restaurant schedule will provide scrumptious tastings such as Farm to Table at the Keystone Ranch, Cheese & Chocolate at Der Fondue Chessel and a Cobbler Tasting at the Ski Tip Lodge. Wine tastings will feature an array of options from A World of Bubbles at the Keystone Ranch to Delectable Dessert Wine Tasting at the Black Bear Grill, and The Misunderstood Malbec at Der Fondue Chessel. Moving into the last week of the culinary showcase, beer & spirit tastings will range from India Pale Ales at 9280’ Taphouse to Signature Infused Liquors at the Ski Tip Lodge.
