Architecturally Sound
Robert Trent Jones, Jr. has designed more than 270 golf courses in more than 40 countries on six continents. Known as the father of environmental golf course design, Jones respects and embraces the land in his work. Evident of this is the Jones designed Keystone Ranch Golf Course, opened in 1980. “This course will never let the golfer capture it, but they will have fun trying,” – Robert Trent Jones, Jr.

Dr. Michael J. Hurdzan is an internationally sought after authority on golf course design with a career that has spanned more than 55 years. Dana Fry has achieved an acclaimed status as a result of the esteemed projects to which he lent his artistic hand. The Hurdzan-Fry designed River Course opened in 2000.

Tournament Play
On June 2-3, The River Course will host the Colorado Golf Association Child Parent Championship, and on Sept. 15-16, The River Course is hosting the Colorado Golf Association Women’s Dunham Chapman Championship.

A Round of Applause
Both the Keystone Ranch Golf Course and The River Course have received numerous accolades, named by Golf Digest 2016 Editors’ Choice as one of the five best golf resorts in the Rockies/Great Plains. Most recently, Keystone was recognized by the Colorado PGA as the 2017 Resort Merchandiser of the Year. Other notable recognitions include Best Mountain Course (Keystone Ranch Golf Club), Best Conditions (The River Course, Keystone Ranch Golf Club), Best On-Course Views (The River Course, Keystone Ranch Golf Club), Best Mountain Course (The River Course), Best Wedding Venue (Keystone Ranch), and Best Opening Hole (The River Course).

Saving on the Green
Keystone offers a variety of lodging options, including hotels, condos and townhomes ranging in size from studio to four-bedroom, and four and five-bedroom private homes, that are conveniently located within minutes of The River Course and Keystone Ranch Golf Course. Keystone’s Stay, Play & Save packages begin at $181 person, per night and offer exclusive savings on lodging and golf rates, and include green fees, practice facility access and free nine holes of golf on day of arrival. Additionally, resort amenities, activities and dining options are all located on-site at Keystone, providing a variety of easily accessible mountain adventures when not golfing.

Redefine Your Experience
To support the PGA of America and United States Golf Association efforts to help golfers have more fun on the course, the Keystone Ranch Golf Course has embraced their positioning and modified the course with the addition of several new tees, allowing players to choose the yardage that best suits their ability. Without making any changes to the Robert Trent Jones, Jr. original design routing, the course now offers golfers the ability to play from 2,600 yards, with 6,000 yards deemed to be the ‘magic number’ that allows the majority of mid to high handicap guests to reach greens in regulation determined through player observations and solicited feedback of guests. This additional yardage option allows golfers at the Keystone Ranch to further enjoy their round of golf and time on the links.

At the FOREfront
The recently introduced Keystone Golf mobile app allows golfers to keep score, access hole descriptions, flyovers, pictures, and utilize the GPS component to know the exact yardage from ball to green. Guests can also book tee times, compare scores to other players, share accomplishments socially, customize a tournament and receive news, updates and pricing specials. The Keystone Golf app is free and available at both The River Course and Keystone Ranch Golf Course.

Elevate Your Game
Both The River Course and Keystone Ranch Golf Course offer a variety of private lessons, clinics, and programs designed for golfers of all abilities and ages. With instruction via Keystone’s PGA teaching professionals, enjoying the links through private lessons and weekly offerings designed specifically for women, men, juniors, seniors and group golfers is easier than a hole-in-one. There are programs offered each day of the week except Sunday, including short-game clinics, Birdies and Bettys ladies’ play days and junior golf clinics.

A Family Drive
Keystone is known as a place where families rule, and the resort’s golf professionals and staff are dedicated to the family guest experience. The River Course and Keystone Ranch Golf Course both offer up to six sets of tees on each hole to accommodate golfers of all abilities and allow everyone in the family to enjoy the game. Both courses offer a Kids Swing Free program, inviting anyone 17 and younger to play for free after 4 or 5 p.m. with a paying adult. Families can also take advantage of Time for Nine rates as well as programs dedicated to teaching the basics of the game, such as the free Junior Golf Week, June 11-15.
